CAPTAINS CONTEST, VIDEO CHALLENGE, AND GRAPH CONTEST

1. ELIGIBILITY:

To enter any of the following contests—the Captains Contest, Video Challenge, or Graph Contest (collectively, the “Contests”)—you must:

  • (a) Be a U.S. citizen or a legal U.S. resident (i.e. able to show proof of legal residence);
  • (b) Be enrolled in a private or public elementary or secondary school or a home school located within Tarrant County, Texas, USA, at the time of entry; and
  • (c) If a minor, have obtained a parent’s or legal guardian’s prior written permission.

For participation by any minor, that minor must have received written permission from a parent or legal guardian (who shall be deemed the Participant for purposes of these rules). The minor and his or her parent or guardian may be required to sign additional documents as required by Tinker LLC. If it is later determined that any eligibility criteria were not met, Tinker LLC reserves the right to disqualify the entry.

2. CONTEST TERMS:

Contests Overview:

The Captains Contest, Video Challenge, and Graph Contest (the “Contests”) are designed to encourage eligible students—and, if a minor, their parent or legal guardian—to showcase their creativity, leadership, and innovative skills. In brief:

  • Captains Contest: focuses on leadership and innovation projects;
  • Video Challenge: emphasizes creative video production; and
  • Graph Contest: highlights excellence in data visualization and graphical representation.

How to Enter:

Entries for the Contests open at 12:01 a.m. PST on October 1, 2024 and close at 11:59 p.m. PST on June 1, 2025. Eligible Participants, or their respective parents or legal guardians if a minor (collectively “You” or a “Participant”), may submit entries via the method described below. You may enter only once per contest category, unless otherwise specified.

All entries must be received by Tinker LLC no later than 5:00 p.m. PST on June 1, 2025. Entries will be accepted only through the designated entry method; proof of depositing an entry in the mail will not be considered proof of entry, delivery, or receipt. Incomplete, duplicate, photocopied, or mechanically reproduced entries will be disqualified, and all submissions become the property of Tinker LLC.

Entry Process: Beginning on October 1, 2024, entries may be submitted online by logging on to https://tinkerteach.org/23/fwtx/ and following the instructions provided. You will be required to complete an official Entry Form and, if applicable, a parental or legal guardian Consent Form. For minors under age 13, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required prior to entry. Hard-copy entries should be mailed—with proper postage and in a package that prevents damage—to:

Conservation Captains
c/o Tinker LLC
P.O. Box 177
Alamo, CA 94507

Entries submitted without a completed Entry Form or without the required signature will be disqualified. In cases where a minor’s parental consent is initially not provided, Tinker LLC will notify the parent/legal guardian via email; consent must be confirmed within 48 hours, or the entry will be deleted.

Tinker LLC and its respective officers, directors, shareholders, managers, members, employees, and agents are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to submissions; errors in printing or processing; or any issues arising from entries that are late, lost, delayed, incomplete, misdirected, or otherwise compromised. Tinker LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contests if circumstances beyond its control require it. In no event shall the maximum liability of Tinker LLC exceed $500.

10. RELEASE OF LIABILITY:

By participating, each Participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Tinker LLC and its affiliates and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities (including those related to personal injury, property damage, or the acceptance or use of any Prize) arising out of or in connection with the operation of the Contests.

11. DISPUTES:

Except where prohibited by law, by entering, each Participant agrees that all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or relating to the Contests will be resolved individually without resort to class action.
